Here is a link to report anything from your Orchard
Why should I report?
We report to keep a record of things we have spotted in the orchard that are important to keep track of. This could be a new pest, or a disease infecting the leaves, a tree that has been damaged or has fallen down, or a cultivar that has been missidentified and needs its label and listing updated. In short, anything that is worth recording.
Where is it recorded?
When you click on the button you will be taken to an online form. This form feeds in to our database, onto a special recording table.
For safety, your input will not change any information of the master records. When you send a report it will warn the TL via an email that the report has been sent, and it will be recorded on a separate table. The TL can then read it, edit it and copy the information manually accross to the master files to make it available for everybody.
The form only takes a report from one tree at a time, if you need to send several observations you will need to do one for each.
What Information can I report over the form?
You have to report
- The tree number. You do this by selecting from the list. If its not listed choose the first option, “not listed” (this is a mandatory field)
- Your name from the team list. (this is a mandatory field)
- The type of observation, if its a pest, a disease, an enviromental problem or any other problem
- The observation itself as a long note. it is usefull if you start with the date of your observation.
- Any other document or photo that would be helpful to keep as a record. This is very helpful to ID the problem.
Once completed dont forget to click on the SUBMIT button so it gets sent.
If you need to send another report, just go back to the link and strat a new one, or wait for the form to reload after 5 seconds.
